The weather is delightful here on the prairie, I am still wearing sandals and tee shirts although once in a while we turn the heat on at night and I wear a lite coat when I drive Laura to school. Their is an Oak tree behind our house that is showing some red color and I have noticed geese and small birds flocking together. I don't know where they will fly, maybe Mexico. Haha We drove by an ice rink and there was a pile of snow that had been scraped off the rink and piled outside so we stopped for a while to look at it and Jon asked Laura if she wanted to go play in it but she said no that was all right maybe next time. We had a little nostalgia there. Our neighbor told us they had to chuckle at some of the tools they noticed being unpacked....snow shovel, digging iron, crow bars. She wanted to know what to expect since it doesn't snow here and we don't need many tools to care for our postage stamp yard but we all had a good laugh and it helped us to bond a little with a native Texan (he looks like a football player, he's over 6' and very muscular). But if you're too cold come on down, and we will show you the town. I am really enjoying being able to see the sky after 6 years of living in the Piedmont. I didn't realize how much I missed the sun rise and set. Well I'm serving turkey and I might get a little creative with the trimmings if I have the energy. I am having a good laugh here I'm not too serious about all these dilemas. Well if you're minding the cold you are welcome here. I'm going to meet Terrel Owens (a receiver for the Dallas Cowboys) in a couple of days so I'm excited about that. The Cowboys are on a roll!

Hi Sue, Jon and Laura! It's great to hear from you. Sure wish I had the time and money; I'd love to visit you. I'll save my pennies for a trip in the future. Are you staying there indefinitely? Unfortunately, I've been out of touch too long. Where is everybody? I'll bet Laura gets a lot of attention these days! Stay well and I'll try to communicate more often
